Thoughts and feelings on project 1

From the moment I read about the project I was excited about it. I like thinking outside the box and being creative, so therefore I found this project fun, however I was very frustrated when trying to piece it together. My project consists of 20 pictures about my life in the shape of a heart, in square form. Making a heart out of 4x4 square pictures may look easy, but it is definitely not. I took a lot of time placing the pictures so you could basically see the entire picture with nothing getting cut off. The challenge was fitting all the pictures on the poster board, and making the pictures look like a heart. Some insights/skills I gained from doing this project is creating a work of art having to do with my life and how to fit that on twenty pictures. Another hard part of this project was taking new pictures, and not using old ones you have taken over the summer or before that. However, once I started I got more of an idea of what pictures I wanted to take, and how I wanted to edit them. I chose to do black and white because I wanted the colors of my pictures to match, but be of different objects.  I also had originally printed out 25 pictures, but unfortunately had to cut them due to the space on the poster board. However, I do like the pictures I took and put together because they explain who I am, and what makes up my life.
